Clothing Tech Pack Checklist for Streetwear Brands

A tech pack is a shared decision document. It gives the pattern maker, sample room, print team and production team the same reference. It does not need to be visually complicated, but it should make the intended result clear.

Product overview

  • Style name and internal number
  • Front, back and detail sketches
  • Intended fit and reference images
  • Target quantity, colors and size range

Measurements

Include a labelled point-of-measure diagram and a table for each size. State whether measurements are garment measurements and whether they are taken before or after wash. Identify the base sample size and grading rules.

Materials and trims

Specify fabric composition, weight, knit or weave, color and finishing. List rib, lining, thread, zipper, buttons, drawcords, labels, hangtags and packaging. If an exact material is not known, describe the intended hand feel and performance.

Construction

Show seam types, stitch details, pocket construction, reinforcements, panel joins and any internal finishing that is not visible in the main sketch.

Artwork and decoration

Provide vector or high-resolution files, dimensions, placement measurements and color references. Identify the intended technique, such as screen print, puff, embroidery, appliqué or transfer.

Packaging and delivery

Confirm folding, polybags, stickers, carton marks, destination and target date. Packaging decisions can affect both quotation and production timing.

If your tech pack is incomplete, send clear references and mark the decisions you need help with. Metro can structure missing material, construction and measurement information before sampling.
